The offensive and defensive lineman practiced single man coverage this morning and it was intense to watch. Going against each other one-on-one, the defensive lineman would attempt to push his way past the offensive lineman to get to where the quarterback would hypothetically be.

great updates, allison. i'd love to be at practices but can't make it, so your insight is super appreciated.
ReplyDeletethough somewhat unrelated, i'd like readers to note that the coolest name in big sky football right now belongs to a new walk-on running back at idaho state:

Hey, Allison, how about doing a side story on Duyndam? It would be a great line - the Australian who came to Portland to punt!
ReplyDeleteI agree that a side story about Duyndam would be great. It will be a little while before the Vanguard starts publishing regularly again, so I may do it, should I find time in my schedule, here in the blog. As a side note on him, he looks great at practice and has a fairly strong foot.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is an awesome name for a player.
